Due to reduced distribution system pressure in the water system, due to water system improvements the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has required The City of Daingerfield water system ID #1720001 to notify customers to boil their water prior to consumption (e.g., washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc). Children, seniors, and persons with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all customers should follow these directions).
The areas under the boil water notice include West W.M. Watson, Webb St, Cason Rd, Dogwood Circle, EG McMillan, Bradfield Rd, June Dr, Kathryn Dr, Jackson Ave, Wills Dr, North St, Mountain View, Ridgeway Dr, Redland St, Highland Dr & Cir, Pineland St, Hughes Ave, Park Ln, Greenwood St, Dale Ave, Glenn St, Maple Dr, James St, Nancy St, Freeman Ave, Ewan Blvd, Rutledge Ave, Irvin Pkwy, Gifford Ave, Wildwood Dr, South St.
To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to use. The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source.
When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the water system officials will notify you that the water is safe for consumption. Instructions to discontinue boiling will be issued in the same manner as this notice.
If you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact the City of Daingerfield at 903-645-3906.
Watson, Webb St, Cason Rd, Dogwood Circle, EG McMillan, Bradfield Rd, June Dr, Kathryn Dr, Jackson Ave, Wills Dr, North St, Mountain View, Ridgeway Dr, Redland St, Highland Dr & Cir, Pineland St, Hughes Ave, Park Ln, Greenwood St, Dale Ave, Glenn St, Maple Dr, James St, Nancy St, Freeman Ave, Ewan Blvd, Rutledge Ave, Irvin Pkwy, Gifford Ave, Wildwood Dr, South St.
