The City of Daingerfield is improving its public drinking water system through TWDB DWSRF Project No. 62916. The Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) program is administered in Texas by the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB). This project is wholly or partially funded with State Revolving Fund (SRF) funding through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Project Description
This project includes two major water system improvement contracts:

Contract 1 - Valve Installation and New Chlorination System: This work includes interconnections and installation of new valves throughout the City, a new chlorination system and building, and related construction items.

Contract 2 - New Elevated Storage Tank: This work includes construction of a new 100,000-gallon elevated storage tank, rehabilitation of an existing 100,000-gallon elevated storage tank, pump station upgrades, electrical upgrades, and related construction items.

Water Quality and Community Benefits
These improvements are intended to strengthen the City of Daingerfield's drinking water system by improving water storage, system reliability, operational flexibility, chlorination/disinfection capacity, and the City's ability to maintain service during repairs and routine maintenance. The project will help support safe, reliable drinking water service for residents, businesses, and public facilities in the City of Daingerfield.

Project 73915 - City of Daingerfield Sanitary Sewer System Upgrades

City of Daingerfield Sanitary Sewer System Upgrades

The City of Daingerfield is improving its sanitary sewer and wastewater treatment infrastructure through the Sanitary Sewer System Upgrades project. This project was funded in whole or in part with State Revolving Fund funding through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The State Revolving Fund program for this project is administered by the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB).

The project includes replacement or rehabilitation of sanitary sewer lines in areas most in need of repair, lift station rehabilitation with pump and electrical upgrades, piping improvements, aeration basin rehabilitation, and additional wastewater treatment plant improvements. Planned and completed wastewater treatment plant upgrades include clarifier mechanism replacement, oxidation ditch upgrades, weir box improvements, upgrades to the pump station at the headworks, and related construction items.
