Meet Your Code Compliance Officer

Our Code Compliance Officer, Carrie Kirkland, serves as the primary point of contact for code-related matters in the City of Daingerfield. With a focus on education, fairness, and community engagement, she works to ensure that residents, property owners, and businesses follow city ordinances and maintain safe, healthy, and attractive neighborhoods.

Her Duties Include:

• Investigating complaints and identifying violations of city codes

• Conducting site visits and property inspections

• Coordinating with other departments to resolve code-related issues

• Issuing notices of violation and working with property owners on corrective actions

• Overseeing food service permitting and conducting restaurant inspections

• Maintaining accurate records of inspections, violations, and resolutions

• Providing public education and support on code-related concerns
