The City of Daingerfield is looking for dedicated residents to serve on various boards, commissions, and committees that help shape our community. If you are passionate about civic engagement and want to contribute to the future of Daingerfield, we encourage you to apply!

Available Boards & Commissions
We are currently accepting applications for the following:

Board of Adjustments – Handles appeals and variances related to zoning laws.

Daingerfield Economic Development Corporation (4A & 4B) – Supports business growth and economic development.

Planning & Zoning Commission – Helps guide the city's development and zoning regulations.

Ad Hoc Committees – Special committees formed for specific city projects.
-
Northeast Texas Municipal Water District – Oversees water resources and management.

Other Committees as Needed

Who Can Apply?
Eligibility varies by board, but general qualifications include:
✔ Residency: Some boards require Daingerfield residency (see individual board requirements here).
✔ Voter Registration: Required for most positions unless otherwise specified.
✔ Background Check: All applicants must pass a background check.
✔ Commitment: Willingness to attend meetings and complete required training.

Deadline: Applications are accepted year-round, but appointments are made annually. Applications remain on file until December 31st of the submission year.
Commitment & Expectations
- Attendance Requirement: Members must attend at least 75% of meetings and may not miss three consecutive meetings.
- Training Requirement: All new members must complete City of Daingerfield Board & Commission Training within 90 days of appointment.
- Ethics & Conflict of Interest: Members must follow the City’s Ethics Code and disclose any conflicts of interest as required by Texas law.
